One misconception among retail investors is that Fee-Only financial planners are unaffordable for them. This is far from the truth. A person with monthly savings potential ₹5,000 can take services of a Fee-Only financial planner as much as a person who can save and invest ₹5,00,000 a month.
If the assets and savings potential of the investor is low and his financial planning is relatively simple, some planners agree to charge a lower fee. I came across a question on Quora where a person asked how rich he/she should be to hire a financial adviser. Here is the link to my answer to that question.
